Passed away on October 17, 2017
John Howard Blackburn, Sr., 73, passed away Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. He was born July 15, 1944 in Rockhampton, Australia to the late Oliver Howard and Gwendolyn Jane White Blackburn. He was the owner of J&M Moving and Storage.
Surviving are his wife of 24 years, Deborah Lewis Blackburn, of Savannah, one daughter, Glenda B. Stocker and her husband Scott of Carroll Valley, Pennsylvania, two sons, John H. Blackburn, Jr. and his wife Karen of Daytona Beach, Florida, and Steven B. Blackburn and his wife Amber of Knoxville, Tennessee. He is also survived by four grandchildren, John H. Blackburn, III, Scott Lee Stocker, Hanna Stocker, Skylar Stocker, and two nieces, Nikki Hayes, and Chrissie Chasteen.
A Celebration of his life will be held Thursday, October 19, 2017 at 12:30 p.m. at LaParrilla Mexican Restaurant at the Oglethorpe Mall (next to Kirkland’s).
